Portaiture Course

Course Objective:
This course will look into how a professional photographer looks at characters and expressions in their subjects. It is not always about how comfortable a subject is in front of the camera, or how good that person looks in the picture. It is about the true character of that person or how as a photographer one would perceive his or her persona.

We will be looking at various angles, techniques and analysis of our subject. We will be recreating the character as one derives through the subject.

During the month, one will be guided to how to work on getting that perfect portrait that you have been meaning to shoot. Here we will analyze portraits photographed by different known photographers and we will critique our own progress during the due course.

Curriculum:

1.Understanding outdoor portraiture with help of available light and dealing with the characters on the streets.

2. How to look at angles, environment and details to help a better composition.

3. Intimate portraiture v/s Environmental Portraiture

4. How to make the portraits expressive, and lively. How one can engage as a photographer with the subject its character.
